Class 10 student dies while bathing in Phulbari river

Salah Uddin Ahmed, Dinajpur: A 10th class student drowned in the deep water while taking a bath in the local Chota Jamuna river at Phulbari, Dinajpur. The death occurred in Chandapara area while bathing with friends around 4 pm today. The name of the school student is Rizvi Ahmed Rahat (16) he is the son of homeo doctor Rajab Ali of Kantabari village in Phulbari town. He was a 10th standard student of the local Sujapur Model Government High School. Locals said, along with classmates Nirab, Soumik, Sheikh Sadi Sijan, Mahatab, they went to take bath in Chandpara area of ​​Chota Yamuna branch river. Rahat sinks while others manage to reach the shore. Phulbari fire service and civil defense personnel participated in the rescue operation along with the locals. After trying for two hours, they recovered Rahat's body around 4 pm. In-charge of Phulbari Police Station Ashraful Islam said that the incident has been reported. They handed over the body to the family as there was no complaint. However, a case of death has been registered at the police station.
