135th Auspicious Moon Appearance Festival begins in Pabna for 3 days

Tofajjal Hossain Babu, Pabna: On Punya Talnavami Tithi, the 135th appearance of Yugapurushottam Sri Sri Tagore's Auspicious Moon and Bhagirathi Padma, Punya Snan Mohotsav has started. The three-day festival started on Saturday night (September 03) at Himaitpur Satsang Ashram premises in Pabna. On the Inaugural Day, Manglika, congregational prayer, TarakaBrahma Naam, Matri Sammelan, congregational prayer, special prayer for the welfare of the world, devotional kirtan and discussion meeting were held. Pabna Sadar Constituency Member of Parliament and District Awami League General Secretary Golam Farooq Prince inaugurated the festival as the chief guest. Pabna District Commissioner Biswas Russel Hossain, Pabna Sadar Upazila Chairman Alhaj Mosharraf Hossain and Pabna Municipality Mayor Sharif Uddin Pradhan were special guests in the meeting under the chairmanship of Satsang Ashram President Rabindranath Sarkar. Besides, the Bangladesh correspondent of Calcutta Durdarshan, Rajesh Kumar Jha, Ashok Dutta, Bangladesh correspondent of India's News Today, and other local and foreign dignitaries also spoke on the occasion. Later devotional songs and Ramayan songs were performed. This three-day festival will end on Monday with various events. Thousands of Tagore devotees and followers from abroad have attended the fair. A colorful fair is also organized. There are many stalls.
