Capacity building workshop at Thakurgaon

Thakurgaon Representative: Workshop on capacity building of minority community members and union land officers on land record digitization was held at Thakurgaon. The day-long workshop was organized at Sadar Upazila Parishad hall on Monday. Organized by Eco Social Development Organization-ESDO and in collaboration with The Asia Foundation, the program manager of the organization's access project Shah Md. Aminul Haque presided over the speech as the chief guest, Sadar Upazila Executive Officer Abu Taher Md. Samsuzzaman, special guest Sadar Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Shahriar. Rahman, Sadar Upazila Sub-Assistant Settlement Officer Md Moshiur Rahman, Thakurgaon Press Club President Mansoor Ali, Municipal Councilor Draupadi Devi Agarwala, Mohammadpur UP Chairman Md Sohag Hossain, Jamalpur UP Chairman SM Mostak Ahmed, Rahimanpur UP Chairman Abdul Hannan Hannu, Vergeya UP Chairman Raichuddin Saju, Municipal Akcha Assistant Land Officer Motahar Hossain, Union Assistant Land Officer Khagendra Nath Sarkar, Abdul Halim, Rasheduzzaman Malay, Noor Islam, Access Project Focal Person Kazi Md Serazus Salekin, Project Members Basanti, Nanda Roy, Shanto Tigya, Manik Nishi, Rahul Basfour etc. The day-long workshop discussed various issues related to empowerment of community and citizen groups (Access Project) in digitization of land records for providing transparent and effective services to the minorities of the plains.
