Housewife beaten in Hatibandha, complaint lodged at police station

Mostafizur Rahman, Lalmonirhat: A housewife has been accused of beating her brother-in-law, son-in-law and son-in-law over land in Hatibandha upazila of Lalmonirhat. Seriously injured Housewife Rehana Akhter (34) is undergoing treatment at Hatibandha Health Complex. His son Majahid Hossain (14) and daughter Mosha Zubaida were beaten. Injured housewife's husband Ziarul Haque lodged a written complaint at the Hatibandha police station on Sunday (July 3) night mentioning the names of 10 people. Earlier on Saturday (July 2) morning, the incident took place in Barakhata village of Hatibandha upazila. According to the complaint, Ziarul Haque, son of late Mohammad Ali, has been occupying the land mentioned in the schedule and sub-grave land in the tehsildarpara area of ​​Barakhata 4th ward of Hatibandha upazila of Lalmonirhat. On July 2, Ziarul Haque was not at home when a tin set house on his land was demolished by his elder brother, sister and niece who took the tin set house to their house. When his wife Rehena Akhter stopped him, they beat him and his children. When Rehena Akhter was seriously injured, the locals rescued her and admitted her to Hatibandha Health Complex. Doctors at the Hatibandha Health Complex said the injured housewife, Rehana Akhter, had about 15 stitches in different parts of her body. The current health complex is under treatment. Rehna Akhter, lying in a hospital bed, said, "My brother-in-law, brother-in-law Nanad and the nuns' son came to my house and tried to set fire to the house and stabbed me in different places." Then when my children went to save me, they also beat my child. Ziaul Haque, husband of housewife Rehena Akhter, said, "Since I was not at home, my elder brother and younger brother stabbed my wife in different places with a sharp knife." I want a fair trial. Accused Shafiar Rahman Pintu, 55, said, "We did not beat him. He cut his own hand and was admitted to the hospital." We didn’t beat him up. Hatibandha police sub-inspector Shafiqul Islam said, "I have gone to investigate the incident. The situation is normal. The incident will be investigated again." Officer-in-charge of Hatibandha Police Station Ershadul Alam confirmed the incident and said the incident has been investigated and necessary steps will be taken.
