In Manikganj's Jhitka Bazar, a 48 kg bag was sold for Tk 56,000

Shahjahan Biswas, Manikganj: A 48 kg bagar fish has been sold at Tk 57,400 in Jhitka Bazar of Harirampur upazila of Manikganj. Fishermen Manik Haldar (Pancha) and Tapas Haldar brought the fish for sale in Jhitka Bazaar on Friday (June 24) morning. Their home is in Balla union of the upazila. Later, they cut the fish and sold it at Rs 1,200 per kg. It is learned that the fish was caught in the net of local fishermen from Aricha point of Padma river last night. Fishermen Manik Haldar (Pancha) and Tapas Haldar bought the fish from them on Friday morning. Later they cut the fish and sold it in the market. The fish is sold at a total price of Rs 56,400 per kg at Rs 1,200. Vijay Haldar, who is present in the market, said that such a big fish is not usually found in Jhitka market. Many people like me have come to see the fish.
