Cows were arrested in Lohagara

Lohagara (Chittagong) Correspondent: In Chittagong's Lohagara, a cow thief named Syed Noor (20) was arrested along with his cows and handed over to the police. He is the son of Mostaq Ahmed of Kalatali Road area adjacent to North Harbang Aziznagar of Chakaria upazila. According to police and local sources, some cows belonging to Muhammad Riaz Uddin, son of Muhammad Jamal Uddin of Chunti Kalu Sikder Para of the upazila were eating grass in the field near his house on Thursday morning. Tactically, Syed Noor was stealing a cow from that spot. He was detained by the locals on suspicion of carrying the cow. Upon receiving the news, the owner of the cow, Riaz, actually proved the theft of the cow at the spot. After informing the police, a team of police led by SI Sajid of Chunti police outpost arrested Syed Noor, a cattle thief from the spot and brought him in the custody of the police station. Lohagara Police Station Officer-in-Charge Muhammad Atiqur Rahman said a cow thief named Syed Noor was arrested in Hatena while stealing cattle at Chunti in the upazila this morning. He also said that a case has been filed against him.
