News Desk: The law ministry will send an opinion to the home ministry by today (Wednesday) on the request of BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia to extend the stay of her sentence. Law Minister Anisul Haque told reporters at the secretariat on Wednesday (March 18).

Responding to a question from reporters, he said, "Khaleda Zia was not granted bail, the court granted bail. What has been done is that two-and-a-half years ago, a family petition was filed against him. There was no mention of any law in it. Due to the generosity of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, she was released on parole under Section 401 of the Criminal Procedure Code.

It's not bail, it's release. " They have made another request for extension. That application has come to me. We will send feedback. You will know that opinion from the Ministry of Home Affairs, said the Law Minister. When will I be able to know - in response to the question of the journalists, he said, "InshaAllah, he will leave today." What is the next step? Will you go to the Prime Minister after giving your opinion? - When asked, the Minister said, ‘No. I don't think it will go to the Prime Minister anymore. Because what I gave last time did not go to the Prime Minister.
