News Desk: The court has issued arrest warrants against BNP senior joint secretary general Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi in ​​two separate cases of Hatirjheel police station in the capital.

On Wednesday (March 2), Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge KM Imrul Kayesh issued the warrant on the charge sheet.

Additional Public Prosecutor Tapas Kumar Pal of Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge's Court confirmed the matter.

He said the Hatirjheel police station in the capital was set to receive chargesheets in two separate cases under the Special Powers Act and the Explosives Act in early December 2019. Rizvi did not appear in court that day. The judge took cognizance of the chargesheet and issued an arrest warrant against him.

Earlier on November 25, Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge KM Imrul Kayesh issued an arrest warrant against Rizvi in ​​a case under the Special Powers Act of Badda Police Station. On October 25, the Metropolitan Sessions Judge's Court issued an arrest warrant against Rizvi in ​​the Special Powers Act case of Shahbagh Police Station in the capital.
