The water of Padma is above the danger level at Rajbari three points

News Desk: The water of Padma has been increasing rapidly in the last few days in the part of Rajbari. As a result, water is flowing over the danger zone at Sengram in Pangsha upazila of the district, Mahendrapur in Sadar and Daulatdia gauge station point in Goalanda.

In the last 24 hours, the water level has increased by 9 cm at Sengram Point and is at 6 cm, at Mahendrapur it has increased by 10 cm at 4 per cent and at Daulatdia Point it has increased by 9 cm at 34 cm. This has inundated some places outside the dam and in the low-lying areas. As a result, there is a fear of floods in different parts of the district and there is panic among the people of Padmapara about the increase in water and erosion due to the rapid flow.

As a result of rising water, there are fears of waterlogging in Bahadurpur of Pangsha, Kalikapur of Kalukhali, Ratandia, Khanganj of Rajbari Sadar, Chandani, Mizanpur, Barat and Chhotabhakla of Goaland, Devgram and Daulatdia Union. District Relief and Rehabilitation Officer Syed Ariful Haque said they were fully prepared for the floods. Assistance will be given by making a list of the victims.
