A three-day virtual e-commerce summit is being organized by HR Mart BD

News Desk: The potential e-commerce sector is expanding at double speed even in the Corona epidemic. As the scope of business grows, so does the demand for skilled manpower, creating new jobs. A three-day e-commerce summit titled "Job Prospects in E-Commerce and IT Industry" has been initiated by HR Mart BD with a view to create skilled manpower and overall development in the sector.

The summit will discuss three different topics over three days. CEOs and founders of 13 e-commerce and IT companies will take part in a series of discussions at the Virtual Summit, which starts on April 26. It will also be attended by eminent industry experts, entrepreneurs, corporate personalities, eminent teachers and successful people in their respective fields. Participating in the first day's discussion, Arif Zaman, Chief Strategic Officer, Canadian University of Bangladesh, said that the current curriculum lacks the kind of skills we need to deal with the Fourth Industrial Revolution. -Cab's Director of Corporate Affairs Asif Ahnaf said the golden door of possibilities is opening up in the e-commerce sector when the traditional business system is falling apart due to Kavid-19. He added that the size of the country's e-commerce sector has increased by more than 16 percent in 2020, and by 2023, the size of this sector will be more than 3 billion dollars. Therefore, steps should be taken now so that the youth can match themselves in the employment created in this sector.

Also present at the discussion were Luthafi Chowdhury, CEO of Adfinix, Habibul Mustafa, Managing Director of Khashfood and Md. Ashikur Rahman, Managing Director of Prabhati Courier.
