Diplomatic Correspondent: A 15-member Bangladeshi cultural troupe, comprising musicians, dance and vocal artists, along with representatives from the Ministry of Cultural Affairs of Bangladesh, has arrived in Islamabad to showcase the rich cultural heritage of Bangladesh.
Renowned Bangladeshi painter and printmaker Md. Abdus Satter is also part of the delegation. During the visit, the artists will present a variety of cultural performances at the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) and Lok Virsa, highlighting Bangladesh’s artistic traditions and cultural diversity.
The visit is part of an initiative to promote cultural exchanges between Bangladesh and Pakistan, in line with the decision of Pakistan’s Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif to strengthen cultural ties between the two brotherly countries.
The programme follows the signing of a Cultural Exchange Programme during the visit of Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Ishaq Dar, to Bangladesh last year.
The initiative is expected to foster greater cultural understanding, strengthen people-to-people connections and further enhance the longstanding bonds of friendship between Bangladesh and Pakistan.
