Tree Plantation and Discussion Meeting of Gazipur District Krishak Dal

Gazipur Correspondent: As part of the central program in memory of the martyrs of the July-August mass uprising, a tree plantation and discussion event was organized in Gazipur. The event was held on Saturday (July 20) at the playground of Narun High School in Jangalia Union of Kaliganj Upazila, organized by the Gazipur District unit of Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Krishak Dal.

The event was attended by Fazlul Haque Milon, central leader of the party and convener of Gazipur District BNP, as the chief guest. In his speech, he said, “Reinstating democracy and honoring the sacrifices of the martyrs is our moral duty. Every leader and activist must be more conscious in fulfilling this responsibility.”

The discussion was presided over by Mahbubur Rahman, acting president of Gazipur District Krishak Dal. The keynote speaker was Dr. Barrister Chowdhury Ishraq Ahmed Siddiqui, member secretary of Gazipur District BNP. Paying tribute to the martyrs, he said, “The July-August mass movement is an inseparable part of our political history. Our struggle will continue to fulfill the dreams of the martyrs.”

The session was conducted by Fakir Said Iskandar Janu, general secretary of the district Krishak Dal. Special guests included Dr. Rafiqul Islam Bacchu, senior joint convener of Gazipur District BNP, and central BNP member Omar Faruq Shafin.

Speakers said that in facing political instability and natural crises, programs like tree plantations are timely and essential. Such initiatives in memory of martyrs highlight the party’s humanitarian stance.

After the discussion, leaders of the Krishak Dal took part in the tree plantation program. Leaders and activists from Gazipur District BNP, Jubo Dal, Swechchhasebak Dal, Chhatra Dal, and other affiliated organizations were also present.
