The information provided by the Meteorological Office regarding the mild heat wave

News Desk: A mild heat wave is blowing over Dhaka, Faridpur, Manikganj, Rajshahi, Pabna, Sirajganj, Rangamati, Khulna, Bagerhat, Jessore, Chuadanga and Patuakhali districts and it is likely to continue, the Meteorological Department has said.

This information was given in a 72-hour forecast signed by meteorologist Dr. Md. Omar Faruk on Monday.

The forecast says that the extension of the low pressure area is extending to West Bengal and adjacent areas. The seasonal normal low pressure is located in the south Bay of Bengal.

In this situation, thunderstorms with gusty winds are likely to occur at one or two places in Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna and Sylhet divisions on Monday. Along with this, scattered hailstorms are likely to occur at some places. 

Apart from this, the weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy skies elsewhere in the country. Day and night temperatures may remain almost unchanged across the country.

On Tuesday (March 18), thunderstorms with gusty winds are likely to occur at one or two places in Dhaka, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions. Along with this, scattered hailstorms are likely to occur at some places. Apart from this, the weather is likely to remain mainly dry with temporarily partly cloudy skies in other parts of the country. Daytime temperatures may remain almost unchanged across the country and night temperatures may decrease slightly.

On Wednesday (March 19), thunderstorms with gusty winds are likely to occur at one or two places in Sylhet division. Apart from this, the weather is likely to remain mainly dry with temporarily partly cloudy skies elsewhere in the country. Day and night temperatures are likely to remain almost unchanged across the country.

The Meteorological Department also said that there may be rain with thunder across the country in the first five days.
