Narayanganj Correspondent:  Jatiyatabadi Mohila Dal President Mirza Afroza Abbas visited the eight-year-old victim of an attempted rape in Siddhirganj, Narayanganj. On the instructions of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, she went to the victim's house in Atigram area of ​​Ward No. 4 of the City Corporation on Sunday morning. Mirza Afroza Abbas spoke to the child's guardians and inquired about them and also provided financial assistance to the family on behalf of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman. Afroza Abbas told them that Tarique Rahman is with the family and has also assured to provide legal assistance including medical treatment to the child. Leaders of the district BNP and various organizations were present at Afroza's residence.

Mirza Afroza Abbas, wife of Mirza Abbas, president of the Jatiyatabadi Mohila Dal and BNP standing committee member, later told reporters that if the rape victim of Magura, Asia, had been tried, so many incidents of child abuse would not have occurred in the country. Afroza Abbas blamed the judicial system of the previous Sheikh Hasina government for the rampant rape and child abuse incidents across the country. She said that the Awami League government had rewarded those who committed rape without trying them, which has created a trend of gang rape in the country. Calling on the current government to take stricter steps to prevent rape, Mirza Afroza Abbas, president of the Jatiyatabadi Mohila Dal, also demanded strict laws including hanging rapists in public to ensure justice.

On the morning of March 14 (Friday), the child went to Selim's grocery store to buy biscuits after taking money from her mother in Atigram area of ​​Siddhirganj. At that time, Selim tried to rape the child inside the store by tempting her with chocolates, but she screamed. Then, the people around heard the child's screams and beat up the accused Selim. On receiving the information, the Siddhirganj police arrested the accused Selim.
