3 killed in truck-autorickshaw collision in Kaliakoir

Kaliakoir Correspondent:  Three people were killed in a head-on collision between a truck and a CNG-powered auto-rickshaw in Kaliakoir, Gazipur. The accident occurred on the Maona-Phulbaria regional road in the Namashulai area of ​​the upazila around 8 am on Saturday.

According to eyewitnesses and police sources, a CNG-powered autorickshaw loaded with passengers was heading towards Kaliakoir from Maona intersection in Sreepur. On the way, a brick-laden truck coming from Kaliakoir collided head-on with it in the Namashulai area, causing the front of the autorickshaw to twist and turn. Autorickshaw driver Obaidul, an unidentified woman and an elderly man lost their lives on the spot. Another passenger was seriously injured.

The injured person was rescued and admitted to Kaliakair Upazila Health Complex. However, the truck driver fled immediately after the accident.
