This year, the minimum amount of Fitr per person is 110 taka.

News Desk:  This year, the rate of Fitra in Bangladesh during Ramadan has been set at a minimum of 110 taka and a maximum of 2,805 taka per person. Last year (2024), the minimum Fitra was 115 taka and the maximum was 2,970 taka.

The rate of Fitr for the year 1446 AH was determined at a meeting of the National Sadaqatul Fitr Determination Committee at the Islamic Foundation's meeting room at the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque in the capital on Tuesday (March 11).

The meeting was chaired by Mufti Maulana Abdul Malek, chairman of the Sadaqatul Fitr Determination Committee and Khatib of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque, and was attended by members of the Fitr Determination Committee and prominent scholars. After the meeting, the committee chairman informed the journalists about the Fitr rate.

The meeting unanimously decided that according to Islamic Sharia, Muslims can distribute a certain amount of wheat, flour, barley, dates, raisins, and cheese - any one product or its market price - among the poor as fitrah, according to their ability.

In the case of wheat and flour, the amount is one kilogram 650 grams (half a sa'). In the case of dates, raisins, cheese and barley, the amount of Sadaqatul Fitr (Fitr) is 3 kilograms 300 grams (one sa').

The maximum and minimum Fitra are determined by calculating the market price of these products.
