News Desk:  An earthquake was felt in various parts of the country, including the capital. The earthquake was felt around 11:30 am on Wednesday. At the same time, an earthquake shook Sylhet. Its magnitude was 5.6 on the Richter scale. 

The earthquake was felt at 11:38 am on Wednesday (March 5).

Rubayet Kabir, officer-in-charge of the Earthquake Observation and Research Center of the Meteorological Department, confirmed this information to the media.

Rubayet Kabir said, this earthquake was felt at 11:36 am today. The origin is in the border area of ​​India and Myanmar. The distance from Dhaka to the origin is 449 kilometers. The magnitude of the earthquake at the origin was 5.6.

Rubayet Kabir said it was considered a moderate earthquake.

There was no immediate report of damage from the earthquake. Earthquakes have been felt four times in different parts of the country in the last 10 days.
