Fire breaks out at residential hotel in capital's Shahjadpur, 4 killed

News Desk:  A fire broke out at a residential hotel in Shahjadpur in the capital. The fire service has confirmed that at least four people have died in the fire. The identities of the four people who died in the fire have not yet been revealed. However, it is known that they are all men.

Rashed Bin Khalid, duty officer at the Fire Service Control Room, gave this information on Monday (March 3) afternoon.

The Fire Service said that they received a report of a fire at a residential hotel named Saudia in Bhatara area of ​​Shahjadpur at around 12:17 pm on Monday. Upon receiving the report, four units of the Fire Service reached the spot and started work to bring the fire under control. The fire was later brought under control at around 1:04 pm. The fire broke out on the second floor of the six-story hotel.

After the fire was brought under control, the bodies of four people were recovered from the residential hotel.

Talha bin Jasim, the officer-in-charge of the Fire Service's media cell, said that the bodies of the four deceased were recovered from the sixth floor. Of these, one's body was recovered inside the bathroom, and the bodies of three were recovered from the bottom of the stairs. The door to the stairs was locked at the time, the Fire Service official said.
