News Desk: Biman Bangladesh Airlines has resumed flight operations on the Dhaka-Dammam route as the situation arising from the attacks on Saudi Arabian airports has improved.
The national flag carrier has also decided to operate a flight on the Dhaka-Riyadh route from October 25. Meanwhile, flight operations on the Jeddah and Medina routes continue as usual.
According to the decision of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, flights on the Dhaka-Dammam route resumed from Wednesday (October 21). Until October 26, a flight will depart from Dhaka for Dammam every day at 8:00 AM Bangladesh time. These flights will be operated using Boeing 777 aircraft.
Meanwhile, Biman will operate a flight from Dhaka to Riyadh on October 25. The flight will depart from Dhaka for Riyadh at 1:25 AM late night on October 25 Bangladesh time.
This decision was made considering the improvement in the situation related to the attacks on Saudi Arabian airports. Further decisions regarding the operation of other flights on the Riyadh route will be taken after observing and reviewing the overall situation.
Riyadh-bound passengers who hold tickets can, if they wish, contact Biman Bangladesh Airlines' designated sales counters to change their tickets and travel to Saudi Arabia via Dammam. However, this facility is subject to ticket changes and seat availability.
On the other hand, two flights will be operated from Dhaka to Jeddah on October 22. On October 23, 24, and 25, one flight will depart from Dhaka for Jeddah every day at 7:20 PM Bangladesh time.
Flight operations on the Medina route also remain normal. Biman has been operating regular flights on this route since October 18. These flights are being operated using Boeing 787 aircraft. Flight operations and schedules for the Medina route will remain unchanged until further notice.
The resumption and increase of flights on various Saudi Arabian routes are expected to reduce the suffering of passengers traveling to the country. Passengers are advised to contact designated Biman Bangladesh Airlines sales counters for detailed information regarding ticket changes, seat availability, and travel details.
