Rangpur District Civil Surgeon Dr. Hiramba Kumar Roy said that people of different ages are being admitted to Rangpur Medical College Hospital with various diseases including pneumonia, diarrhea, tuberculosis and cough due to severe cold.

About 400 children and old people of different ages have been admitted. In the last 25 days, 6 women have died in the burn unit of Rangpur Medical College Hospital. 23 burn patients have been admitted. Most of them are women. Doctors are working in the field to provide medical services to the patients in the hospitals.

 Rangpur Deputy Commissioner Asib Ahsan said the people of the northern region are suffering due to the increase in dense fog with cold and winter. A letter has been sent to the ministry with more demands.
