Lalmonirhat Correspondent: Namita Rani (30), a disabled and miserable woman with disability. Although many people have received public and private help, so far nothing has been done for the fate of Namita Rani. She spends her days without eating due to constant lack and illness. Can't sleep at night. Houses made of bamboo fences, and polythene tents. The couple spends sleepless nights squatting in a corner of the house when it rains. The couple has been living in inhumane conditions on government khas land for almost five years as they have no land.

Swami Sadhan Chandra's wife Namita Rani, who has a disability in one arm and one leg, has not yet got a disability allowance, VGD card or a government house like Gonjara. The family of this lack depends on daily wages. It is learned that Dinmuzur Sadhan Chandra (35) and physically challenged Namita Rani (30) lived in a khas land in East Sindurna village of Sindurna union in Hatibandha upazila of Lalmonirhat. The couple has a son Nayan Chandra and a daughter Brishti. The boy Nayan studied in the fifth class and the girl Brishti in the third class in the local Model Government Primary School No.1. Meanwhile, disabled wife Namita Rani is suffering from chest valve problems and her son Nayan is suffering from heart problems.

It costs around Rs 850 to buy medicine for them every week. Sadhan Chandra is barely finishing treating them. A house belonging to this landless family collapsed in the last 6 months due to storms and heavy rains. Since then, the couple has been living in this broken tin house with their two children in the cold. He met the Hatibandha Upazila Nirbahi Officer 4 months ago and applied for tin but has not received tin till today. He is spending his days with his family in a broken house as he has no money. Sadhan Chandra is the son of Jagodis Chandra, a night watchman of East Sindurna village in Sindurna union of the upazila.

Going to the spot, it was seen that the couple was living an inhuman life with their son and daughter by wrapping plastic in a broken tin room in the cold and cold air in Kankon. All the tins in the house are broken by the thighs. There is no environment to stay at home. Sadhan Chandra's wife has one arm and one leg lying motionless. Did not receive any disability allowance officially. In this way they are spending their days in trouble. They demanded to get a government house from the Prime Minister. Sadhan Chandra said, I have been living in this khas land for a long time.

I am doing special treatment for my wife and son. My house is broken and there is no way to get it out. I want a house near the government. I have applied to UNO for tin. UNO says you will get tin when you come but I haven't got tin for 4 months today. If anyone would help my house with tin, I would bless the work of God. Abu Saeed, a neighbor of the village, said that Sadhan Chandra was a poor day laborer and his wife Namita was physically disabled and ill. Their living room has collapsed.

He is spending the night with his son and daughter in the broken house as he has no money. I think we should get a government house for Mujib on the occasion of the year. Sindurna Union Chairman Nurul Amin said, the family is not aware of the matter but if they apply for a government house, the matter will be seen. Will cooperate. Hatibandha Upazila Nirbahi Officer Samiul Amin said the family would be assisted in the investigation.
