Begum of Munsipara in Rangpur city said that every ward of Rangpur City Corporation has been submerged due to rain since midnight. This problem is due to lack of drainage and drainage system. They are blaming Rangpur City Corporation for being able to go to office-court and hat bazaar. Guratipara Mahmud Hossain of Rangpur city said that only two houses in his house were washed away by the flood waters.

Rangpur City Corporation Mayor Mostafizur Rahman Mostafa said the waterlogging was due to heavy rains from midnight. However, adequate arrangements have been made for drainage.
