Nilphamari Representative: In the election of Nilphamari Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the panel of 'Combined Businessmen Parishad' under the leadership of District Awami League Treasurer Alhaj Mizanur Rahman has won.

Election Management Board chief Arif Hossain Moon announced the results after the counting of votes at Rabeya Balika Vidya Niketan Center in the city at around nine o'clock on Saturday night. Before this polling was held from 10 am to 4 pm.

Mizanur Rahman's leadership of 'Combined Business Council' and engineer Safiqul Alam Dablu's leadership of 'Business Unity Parishad' contested the election. Mizanur Rahman became the first by getting 1 thousand 119 votes in the election.

Apart from this, Monirul Islam Sweden came second with 1 thousand 117 votes, Abdul Waheed Sarkar came third with 1 thousand 103 votes, Samiul Islam Shaon was fourth with 1098 votes, Atiyar Rahman was fifth with 1093 votes, Mofizar Rahman was sixth with 1038 votes, Roknuzzaman Sarkar was seventh with 1006 votes. , Arman Habib became eighth by getting 985 votes, Mokchedul Islam Mochan became ninth by getting 979 votes, Delwar Hossain got tenth by getting 883 votes, Asaduzzaman Rashed got eleventh by getting 878 votes and Mahbubur Rahman Moni got 12th by getting 866 votes.

Apart from this, Naushad Alam came first with 625 votes, Akhtar Siddiqui Pappu came second with 607 votes, Naeem Islam Jiban came third with 595 votes, Ripon Kundu came fourth with 569 votes and Manu Hossain came fifth with 496 votes.

According to Election Management Board sources, 1,643 out of 1,940 voters in the general group exercised their right to vote. Of these, 38 votes were cancelled.

Besides, 793 voters exercised their right to vote out of 963 votes in the allied group. Of these, 12 votes were cancelled. Election Management Board chief Arif Hossain Moon said that 84.69 percent of votes were cast in the general group and 82.34 percent of votes were cast in the allied group.

He said that Hakeem Mostafizur Rahman Sabju, Nilphamari district president of Bangladesh Chemist and Druggist Association and Aminul Islam of Bangladesh Fertilizer Association were already elected from the trade group.
