News desk: Police arrested Rajshahi district BNP convener Abu Saeed Chand in the case of threatening to kill Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina. He was arrested around 11:30 on Thursday. This was confirmed by ADC Rafiqul Alam. He said that Chand was arrested from Harogram. Before this, on May 19, BNP held a protest rally at Shibpur High School ground in Puthia Upazila of Rajshahi.
In that rally, Rajshahi district BNP convener Abu Saeed Chand threatened to send Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to the graveyard. When the matter spread, Awami League leaders became angry. After this, local Awami League leader Abul Kalam Azad filed a case under the Anti-Terrorism Act at Rajshahi's Puthia Police Station on Sunday (May 21) night.
