Entertainment Desk: Bollywood's well-known record company Saregama (HMV) is about to release "Kavi Kavi" by popular Bangladeshi musician Swapneel Sajeev and Mumbai's Nandit artist Priyambada Banerjee. In 1976, this record company released the original song of the movie Kaavi Kaavi with vocals by Lata Mangeshkar and Mukesh, composer Khayyam and lyricist Sahir Ludhianvi. Directed by Yash Chopra, the movie starred Amitabh Bachchan, Wahida Rahman, Rakhi, Shashi Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor.
Saheer Ludhianvi won India's Filmfare Award for Best Lyricist, Mukesh Best Vocalist and Khayyam Best Music Composer for the song Kaavi Kaavi. Even after all these years, this song is still in people's ears. To celebrate the success of this song after 47 years, Saregam is going to release this song on April 13.
Regarding this, Swapneel said, Got song is a poetic message of love, desire and imagination. I am delighted to sing the lyrics of Saheer Ludhianvi's Broken Heart. It goes without saying that the Saregama company is a treasure trove of Indian music. The collection of Rathi Maharathi with their music in almost all languages of India is surprising. But I am really happy that through this work I am lucky enough to be a featured artist from Hindi Saregama (All India that is) after our living legend Runa Laila Apa from Bangladesh. And I am hopeful, the appreciation of Bangladeshi artists in this international arena will continue.
It is to be noted that in the film, musician Priyambada Banerjee sang with me, music was composed by KD, and recorded at Yashraj Studios in Mumbai. Rony Sarafat has directed the song.
The music video can be seen on Saregama's official YouTube page.
