Information Technology Desk: Meta has launched three new security features to further strengthen the security system. Features like Account Protect, Automatic Security Codes and Device Verification will further protect users. Features named Account Protect and Automatic Security Codes will enhance the two WhatsApp security measures. In this case, the first option will try to maintain security while users transfer accounts to new devices.
On the other hand, automatic security codes will help WhatsApp users know who they are chatting with. These security codes are currently accessed from the Contact Details section of the Encryption tab. WhatsApp's device verification feature protects users' accounts from unauthorized messages and malware distribution. The basis for this feature will be an authentication key.
The device verification feature has already been rolled out for all Android smartphone users. Which seems to be stronger than the other two security features. With this feature, when a message arrives, the WhatsApp client will wake up and update its security token by retrieving the offline message from the server. This token is what keeps the account safe by detecting malware.
