Sports Desk: World footballers have got a holiday from club football for now. But where is the time to rest! Because after a two-day break, they have to run with football again. They are back on the schedule of international matches. Meanwhile, the Muslim holy month of Ramadan has begun. Ramadan has already started in many countries of the world. Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo congratulated Muslims on the occasion of this religious festival. CRSeven posted a post on his official Twitter account on Wednesday (March 22). There he wrote, 'Ramadan Mubarak greetings to all Muslims.'

Ronaldo has joined Saudi club Al-Nasr again this season. Although the beginning was not good, he gradually adapted to the team. At the same time, the field performance has also returned to the old rhythm. Most of his teammates there are footballers from Muslim Saudi Arabia. Even before this, he participated in various religious cultures of the country. Currently, Ronaldo has joined the Portugal team to play the Euro 2024 qualifying match. They will face Liechtenstein on March 24 and Luxembourg on March 27. Meanwhile, Ramadan begins today (March 23) in many countries in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

The Spanish club Real Madrid also congratulated on the occasion of this holy month. The club said on their Facebook page, "Warm congratulations and prayers from Real Madrid on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan." A prayer emoji is included. Besides, with the hashtag Ramadan Kareem, Real Madrid wrote, 'We wish you a blessed and peaceful Ramadan. May this holy month bring you closer to your loved ones.' The Spanish club has two Muslim footballers. One of the best strikers of our time is French forward Karim Benzema. The other is German defender Antonio Rudiger. They usually play football while fasting.
