International Desk: 40 people lost their lives in a bomb attack on a group of herdsmen in central Nigeria. Nasarawa Governor Abdullahi Sule confirmed this information on Thursday. Abdullahi Sule said at least 40 people were killed in Wednesday's attack in Rukubi, a village bordering Nasarawa and Benue states. No individual or group claimed responsibility for the attack. Sule told Arise News Television on Wednesday night, "Earlier there were rumors that the Air Force had carried out the bombing but now we have learned that no Air Force aircraft flew over the area.
Without specifying who was piloting the aircraft, Sule said it was a drone that flew over the area and dropped bombs. A group representing herdsmen said the bomb was dropped from a Nigerian military aircraft.
