Sports Desk: Sylhet Strikers have come to play at home from the top of the table. They gave Dhaka-Chittagong aggressive cricket. But an exceptional form was seen in Sylhet. Rangpur Riders tied them for just 92 runs. Rangpur won the toss and decided to bowl first at Sylhet International Stadium. Rangpur bowlers created terror in Sylhet's batting line-up to prove the captain's decision right. Sajghar guided the hosts to 7 batters for just 18 runs. No one could touch double digits. Touhid Hriday, Zakir Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim returned for zero runs. But due to the tenacity of the tail enders, Sylhet did not go all out to Rangpur. Tanjim Rahman Shakib is responsible for most of this. He shared a partnership of 48 runs with captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza for the eighth wicket.
Mashrafe scored 21 runs in 2 sixes off 21 balls. On the other hand, Tanjim saved Sylhet's standard by scoring 41 runs off 36 balls with 5 fours and 2 sixes. As a result, the table toppers scored 92 runs for 9 wickets despite not reaching a hundred. Azmatullah Omarzai and Hasan Mahmood took three wickets each for Rangpur. Two by Mehdi Hasan and one by Haris Rauf.
