News Desk: After the arrest of a visa fraud ring in Dhaka, the US Embassy has issued a warning statement. There, they said, there is no need to resort to any broker to apply for a US visa. Submission of false information and documents in the visa application may not only result in visa denial, but also disqualification of the candidate, which will prevent future travel to the United States. The US Embassy in Dhaka said these things in a statement on Friday. Police in coordination with the US Embassy in Dhaka arrested six persons who fraudulently sold entry and exit stamps on passports to US visa applicants, the embassy said in its statement on visa fraud.

US visa applicants are responsible for the information they provide on the visa application, the documents they provide at the interview. The US Embassy has provided the best guidelines for visa applicants. These are - reviewing information on the US Embassy website, preparing applicants for interviews with any supporting documentation, visa processing and answering truthfully during interviews. It is to be noted that the DB-Cyber ​​and Special Crime North Division of DMP has arrested six members of the visa fraud ring in various areas of Dhaka city on Wednesday. During the arrest, four fake seals and three passports used in the fraud were seized from them.

The arrested are Palash Chandra Das, Wahid Uddin, Shafiqul Islam Sumon, Mahbubur Rahman Khan, Abu Zafar and Arifur Rahman. Sources from the DB-Cyber ​​and Special Crime Answer Division said that the gang submitted passports to the US embassy to obtain US visas by issuing fake stamps for travel to Maldives, Malaysia and Cambodia at some visa processing firms. When the matter came to the attention of the embassy officials, a case was filed in Gulshan police station on January 18 in view of the complaint of the US embassy. During the investigation of the case, the Social Media Crime Investigation Team identified and arrested the fraudster with the help of IT. According to sources, the arrested have visa processing facilities. They make a contract with those who are interested in getting a US visa for 10-15 lakhs and guarantee the visa.

Fake visas of different countries and fake seals of different countries are attached to the passport to increase the importance of the passport with the consent of the interested parties. Later arranged an interview at US Embassy with fake visa attached passport. The gang has cheated the common people by attaching such fake seals and fake visas to the passports and looted crores of rupees. The concerned said that the operation of DB to arrest other members of the gang is continuing. The DB also said that the arrestees have been sent to the court on remand application.
