Rupsa train collided with Mithali Express in Chilahati

News Desk: A collision occurred between the light engine of Mithali Express and Khulna-bound Rupsa Express at Chilahati in Domar, Nilphamari. The incident took place at Chilahati railway station around 8:30 am on Wednesday. One person was injured in the clash.

The injured person is Mithali's assistant locomaster Majedur Rahman. Chilahati Fire Service Leader Nur Alam Siddiqui confirmed this. He said, a unit of ours and a unit of Domar are conducting rescue work at the spot. According to local sources, Khulna-bound Rupsa Express collided with the light engine of Mithali Express train after leaving Chilahati point.

Railway police officer Nesaruzzaman said, the engine of Mithali Express train is still running. The engine cannot be stopped as the locomaster is injured. We are trying to stop the engine.
