I'm ready to talk to Putin: Biden

International Desk:  US President Joe Biden said he is ready to discuss the possibility of ending military operations in Ukraine with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, but he has no plans to contact Putin right now. He said this at a joint press conference with French President Emmanuel Macron on Thursday. 

"The reality and the fact is that I have no immediate plans to communicate with Putin," Biden said. I'm ready to talk to Putin if he's actually interested in deciding that he's looking for ways to end the war. He hasn't done it yet.' 

"If that is the case, I would be happy to sit down with Putin in consultation with my French and my NATO friends and see what he has in mind," he added.

Biden said there is a way to end this war. That's a pretty reasonable way; And that is - Putin will get out of Ukraine. But it doesn't seem like he will. 'In the meantime, I think what Emmanuel (Macron) said is absolutely critical: we must support the people of Ukraine.
