7 arrested in case of robbery at jewelery shop in Nandail, Mymensingh

Kafi Khan, Mymensingh: The district intelligence police (DB) arrested 6 robbers and seven people of the inter-district dacoity gang, including the shop owner, in connection with the robbery of a separate jewelery shop in Nandail, Mymensingh. On Tuesday, two robbers were arrested from Darussalam area of ​​the capital Dhaka, a shop owner and four others were arrested for buying the goods of the robberies. The police recovered 70 loads of silver and 11 annas of gold from the arrested shop owner. The arrested robbers are Hasmat Bepari alias Hasmat Khan alias Achmat Ali Khan alias Kalam, Jasim alias Munna and jewelery shop owner Iqbal Hossain. The police sent them to the court on Wednesday. Earlier on October 10, the four robbers arrested were Jasim Bepari, Shamchaddin Molla, Asadul and Sheikh Sujan. Superintendent of Police Machum Ahmed Bhuna gave this information in a press briefing on Wednesday morning. The Superintendent of Police also said that on September 24, a group of robbers robbed two jewelery shops and a fruit shop in Mymensingh's Nandail Bazar and looted 17 gold ornaments, 90 silver ornaments, two mobile sets and 4 lakh 62 thousand rupees. When a police patrol team reached the police station after receiving information about the robbery, the robbers fired cocktails at the police and fled. A case no-19(9)22 has been filed in this regard at Nandale Model Police Station. He also said, giving more importance to the case, the DB directed the police to identify, arrest, recover looted gold ornaments and cash. DB Police arrested two robbers from Dwipnagar area of ​​Darussalam police station in the capital on Tuesday after carrying out continuous raids in Dhaka, Narayanganj and nearby areas. They are Hasmat Bepari alias Hasmat Khan alias Achmat Ali Khan alias Kalam Jasim alias Munna of Shariatpur of Madaripur. According to their information, Iqbal's jewelery shop in Sunibir Housing, Adabar, Dhaka was raided and Iqbal Hossain, the owner of the jewelery shop was arrested for recovering looted 11 annas of gold and 70 silver rings and for buying the looted goods. Arrested dacoits Hasmat and Munna have confessed to the robbery in Nandail Bazar. Besides, the shop owner told the police that he knowingly bought the stolen gold ornaments and has been buying and selling stolen goods for a long time. Earlier, four more people were arrested in this incident. They are Jasim Bepari, Shamchaddin Molla, Asadul and Sheikh Sujan. They have been sent to the court seeking a seven-day remand. Arrested dacoit Hasmat Bepari alias Kalam along with dacoit Mosharraf came to Nandail on October 11 on the pretext of visiting his father-in-law's house and carried out a series of robberies in Nandail bazaar. Earlier they met in Munshiganj Jail. Later sat in Yunus market of Narayganj and planned. Later, a group of robbers of 20/21 people came to Nandail Bazar from Dhaka, and the robbers blocked a tea shop by tying the 7 night watchman of the market and a passerby with towels and ropes on his hands and feet. The robbers ransacked two jewelery shops and a fruit shop while fleeing with the presence of the police by detonating cocktails. There are more than 10/1 cases against them. DB OC Sofiqul Islam said that investigating officer Rezaul Amin with the help of information technology expert SI Parimal Chandra Sarkar and others unraveled the mystery of the case. Additional Superintendent of Police (Promoted Superintendent of Police) Khandkar Fazle Rabbi, Additional Superintendent of Police Raihanul Islam, Falguni Nandi, DB OC Safiqul Islam and others were present during the press briefing.
