Sheikh Kamal has laid the foundation for reaching heights in Bangladesh sports: Dr. Murad Hasan

Jamalpur Correspondent: State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr Murad Hasan MP has said that the foundation of the height that Bangladesh has reached in the world sports arena was laid by Captain Sheikh Kamal, the eldest son of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu. Sheikh Kamal took all his initiatives to spread the culture of Bangladesh to the world. He wanted to establish the dream of his father Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib in all fields of Bangladesh with the warmth of his youth.

The remarks were made by the Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting while addressing a discussion on the occasion of the 72nd birth anniversary of Captain Sheikh Kamal, the eldest son of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, at the party office in Jamalpur's Sarishabari Upazila Awami League today (August 5).

State Minister for Information Dr Murad Hasan MP said, "Bangabandhu was born and dreamed and Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib started implementing it in his lifetime." To realize that dream, Bangabandhu's eldest son was his shadow companion till his death.

If this man had survived, he would have turned 72 years old. Today, the height that Bangladesh's Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the daughter of Bangabandhu, has taken to the world court, if her brother Sheikh Kamal had survived, this Bangladesh could have reached a much higher height.

The Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting called upon the leaders and workers of all levels of the Awami League to contribute to the progress and development of the country by being inspired by Sheikh Kamal's humanity, honesty and patriotism.

The meeting was chaired by Sarishabari Upazila Awami League President Alhaj Chanowar Hossain Badshah.

Earlier, the state minister for information and broadcasting paid homage to Sheikh Kamal by laying a wreath at his portrait at Sarishabari Upazila Parishad premises.
