Urgent instructions issued for land owners across the country

News Desk: The Ministry of Lands has issued urgent instructions for the land owners across the country. It has been asked to pay the land development tax (rent) of the current financial year along with the arrears by June 30. At the same time, the government has emphasized on the use of digital methods to protect the land.

Citizens can now pay their land development tax online through the land.gov.bd website without any hassle, according to a message from the ministry. The government has launched this digital payment system to make land management completely smart and transparent.

Ministry of Lands said that for payment of land development tax, the citizen must first register on the prescribed portal (land.gov.bd). After registration, the amount of tax can be known by periodically providing information related to Khatian and Jota and can be paid through mobile banking or card.
