Rainfall to continue Bangladesh for the next 5 days

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast that the ongoing trend of rainfall may continue across the country for the next five days. During this period, light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty winds may occur in different parts of the country. Moderate to heavy and heavy rainfall is also likely in some areas.

The forecast was issued on Saturday (August 15) by meteorologist A.K.M. Nazmul Haque.

According to the BMD, until 9am on Sunday (August 16), temporary gusty winds with light to moderate rain or thundershowers may occur at some places across the Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions. Moderate heavy rainfall may occur at some places. Day and night temperatures across the country may fall slightly during this period.

From 9am Sunday to 9am Monday, rain or thundershowers are likely at many places in the Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at a few places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka and Mymensingh divisions. Moderate to heavy rainfall may occur at some places. Day and night temperatures may fall slightly across the country.

A similar weather pattern may continue from 9am Monday (August 17) to 9am Tuesday. Many places in Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and some places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka and Mymensingh divisions may experience temporary gusty winds with light to moderate rain or thundershowers. Moderate to heavy rainfall is also possible in some areas. Day and night temperatures are likely to remain nearly unchanged.

From 9am Tuesday (August 18) to 9am Wednesday, rain or thundershowers may occur at many places in Mymensingh, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at some places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka and Khulna divisions. Moderate to heavy rainfall may occur at some places. Day temperatures may fall slightly across the country, while night temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged.

From 9am Wednesday (August 19) to 9am Thursday, temporary gusty winds with light to moderate rain or thundershowers may occur at many places in Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at some places in Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna and Barishal divisions. Moderate to heavy rainfall may occur at some places. Day and night temperatures may rise slightly across the country.
