Bangladesh is on the way to make history against Pakistan

Sports Desk: The Bangladesh cricket team is on the verge of making history against Pakistan. In the ongoing series, the Tigers have already tasted their first-ever Test victory over Pakistan on home soil.

If Bangladesh win the ongoing Test in Sylhet, they will create history by securing their first-ever home Test series victory against Pakistan.

In the first Test of the two-match series in Dhaka, the hosts Bangladesh won by 104 runs. Now, Najmul Hossain Shanto’s side is awaiting another victory in the Sylhet Test.

At the end of Day 4 of the Sylhet Test, Pakistan were 316 for 7. Bangladesh needs just three more wickets on the final day to seal victory. However, Pakistan still requires another 120 runs to avoid defeat.

Former Pakistan captain Mohammad Rizwan remains unbeaten on 75. But it seems nearly impossible for him to continue resisting defeat with only the tailenders — Sajid Khan, Khurram Shahzad, and Mohammad Abbas — left to support him.

For Rizwan and the remaining three batters, surviving all three sessions or 90 overs on the fifth day appears practically impossible. Unless rain washes out the final day’s play, Bangladesh is set to enjoy a historic series victory.

Still, it cannot be guaranteed that there will be no drama on the last day. After all, Pakistan is known as an “unpredictable” team — and with them, anything is possible! They could still produce something unbelievable on the final day.
