Bhutan’s Prime Minister to Visit Dhaka on Official Three-Day State Visit

News Desk: Bhutanese Prime Minister Shering Tobgay will visit Bangladesh for a three-day state visit. He is scheduled to arrive in Dhaka on Saturday, November 22, at the invitation of Chief Adviser Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus.

On the first day of his visit, Saturday, Prime Minister Shering Tobgay will hold a formal bilateral meeting with the Chief Adviser. Prior to the delegation-level meeting, the two leaders may also hold a private one-on-one discussion.

The bilateral talks are expected to cover cooperation in various sectors, including trade, investment, communication, education, tourism, culture, and sports. During the Prime Minister’s visit to Dhaka, three agreements and memoranda of understanding may be signed between the two countries.

Several advisers, including Foreign Affairs Adviser Md. Touhid Hossain, will have courtesy meetings with the Bhutanese Prime Minister.

Following the visit, he will depart Dhaka on Monday, November 24.
