Nur Discharged from Hospital After 18 Days

Nurul Haque Nur, president of Gono Adhikar Parishad, has been discharged from Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) after 18 days of treatment following a violent attack in the capital’s Kakrail area.

On Monday (15 September) afternoon, doctors released him with formal clearance, after which he left the hospital in an ambulance.

Nur, along with several other leaders and activists, sustained serious injuries on 29 August when law enforcement allegedly baton-charged them in front of the party office at Bijoynagar.

Party activists rescued him from the spot and rushed him to the hospital. Multiple videos circulating on social media showed Nur’s face and chest drenched in blood, with his nose fractured. He was seen being carried on a stretcher by supporters. Nur regained consciousness the following morning.
