Whoever Has Come to Power at DU Has Perpetrated Limitless Oppression and Torture on Shibir: Rafiqul Islam Khan

Pabna Correspondent: Jamaat-e-Islami Assistant Secretary General Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan said that whoever has come to power at Dhaka University has perpetrated limitless oppression and torture on Shibir. Students have been killed on suspicion of being Shibir members. They have been thrown from dormitory rooftops. Now that same Shibir, which was victimized by torture, has become everyone's safe haven. The wave of DUCSU and JAKSU has spread throughout the country. In the upcoming election, the people of the country will vote for Jamaat-e-Islami in this manner and send them to parliament.

He made these remarks as the chief guest at an Ulama conference organized by the Upazila Ulama Division at Santhia Government Degree College ground on Saturday (September 13) afternoon.

He said the Hasina government was trying to sell the country to neighboring states and make it a subservient state. All arrangements to eliminate Islam had been completed. As an example of this, Maulana Nizami was killed, and Abdus Sobhan was brutally murdered in prison. Additionally, 11 central leaders were killed. The movement for the fall of fascism began from Dhaka University itself. The people who bid farewell to the fascist government will not allow any new fascism to raise its head. The victory of Islam has begun from DU and JU.

He further said that former Chief Justice SK Sinha was the mastermind of everything, but later fled after being chased by Sheikh Hasina. Those who mistreated Jamaat-Shibir have all fled. Everyone involved in illegal trials must be arrested and brought to justice. They are killers and deserve no forgiveness. Hasina herself could not find peace by fleeing. Leaders and workers have become orphaned.

Mentioning BNP's corruption, he said one party became champion in corruption five times while in power. They have shown new examples of this after August 5. Considering themselves owners of the country, they have been engaged in all kinds of misdeeds including sand extraction, stone extraction, extortion, and occupation. They are now receiving the consequences. We want to create an environment free of extortionists, occupiers, and terrorists in the future.
