Nearly 33,000 train tickets sold across the country on the sixth day

News Desk:  Bangladesh Railway is selling advance tickets for intercity trains on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. On the sixth day of the sale, ticket seekers have received a total of 12.3 million hits on the railway e-ticketing website and mobile app in the first 30 minutes. 

During this time, tickets for about 33,000 seats were sold across the country, including Dhaka.

A responsible source from Bangladesh Railway informed the media about the matter on Wednesday (March 19) morning.

Tickets for March 29 are being sold today. According to the information, ticket sales for the western zone trains of the railway started at 8 am. In the first 30 minutes, 14,405 tickets for the western zone intercity trains departing from Dhaka were sold. And 18,546 tickets for the western zone were sold across the country. In the first 30 minutes, a total of 32,951 tickets were sold across the country, including Dhaka.

It is also known that the total number of seats on the train from Dhaka for March 29 is 33,199 and the total number of seats on all trains across the country is 175,630.
