Accused in 14 cases arrested with fake notes worth Tk 2.44 lakh in Bogra

Bogra Correspondent:  Police have arrested Russell Mondal (30), an accused in 14 cases, from Dupchanchia Upazila of Bogra, with fake money.

Members of the police's detective branch arrested him from West Alohalipara of Dupchanchia Police Station around 5:30 pm on Friday. At that time, 488 fake notes of 500 taka, totaling 2 lakh 44 thousand taka, were found in his possession.

The arrested Russell is the son of the deceased Ashraf Ali of Banatetulia area of ​​the upazila. Police claim that there are 14 cases against Russell.

Bogra Additional Superintendent of Police Suman Ranjan Sarkar said, "The fake notes were brought to Bogra from Dhaka around Eid. They are investigating the matter. They are working on who else is involved with him." He added, "There are about 14 cases in this person's name under the Narcotics and Special Powers Act."
