Administration demolishes two illegal brick kilns in Bogra

Bogra Correspondent:  The administration has demolished and closed two illegal brick kilns in Bogra. The owners of the two kilns were fined Tk 20,000.

Two brick kilns were demolished and closed and fined in separate raids in the Subgram area of ​​Sadar Upazila and Biharpur Mokamtala area of ​​Shibganj Upazila from Wednesday morning to afternoon. 

The two separate campaigns were led by Executive Magistrates of the district administration Nahian Munsif and Abdullah Al Mamun, a joint initiative of the Bogra district administration and the district environment department. Mahathir Bin Mohammad, Assistant Director of the Bogra district office of the Department of Environment, confirmed this information. 

According to the mobile court sources, the kilns of Sirajul Islam's ASB Bricks in Shibganj and Ariful Islam's M/s Sariakandi Bricks in Sub-Gram Dakshinpara area were demolished and the two brick kilns were ordered to be closed for operating brick kilns illegally without a license. At that time, the owners of the two brick kilns were fined Tk 10,000 each, and a total of Tk 20,000 was collected immediately.

Assistant Director of the Bogra District Environment Department, Mahathir Bin Mohammad, said, "The mobile court was conducted in light of the Brick Manufacturing and Kiln Establishment Act. At that time, the two brick kilns were declared closed and fined."

Officials from the Department of Environment, army personnel, police, fire service and civil defense were present during the operation.
