Closing ceremony and award distribution of science fair in Ishwarganj

Ishwarganj Correspondent:  The 46th National Science and Technology Week, Science Fair and 9th National Science Olympiad 2025 organized by the Ishwarganj Upazila Administration of Mymensingh have been successfully completed.  

The closing ceremony and prize distribution of this fair was held in the hall of Ishwarganj Bisweswari Government Pilot High School on the afternoon of January 14, 2025. Upazila Secondary Education Officer Ashraful Islam presided over the event and Upazila Executive Officer Md. Ershadul Ahmed was present as the chief guest. 

Students displayed their innovative technology products at stalls of 16 educational institutions at this science fair, organized under the implementation of the National Science and Technology Museum and sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Technology, with the theme 'Committed to Building a Science-Minded Nation'.  

Upazila Executive Officer Md. Ershadul Ahmed inaugurated the fair last Tuesday along with other officials and later inspected various projects of the young scientists and praised their work.

At the closing ceremony of the science fair, prizes were distributed among the winning students and institutions in various categories. In addition, consolation prizes were given to those who were not successful in the competition. The Upazila Executive Officer handed over the prizes to the winners. 

Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Municipal Administrator Iqbal Hossain, Upazila Administrative Officer Anup Kumar Seth, Academic Supervisor Abu Hanifa Mohammad Asaduzzaman, and officials and employees of various departments and school and college teachers and students were present at the award ceremony.  

This year's science fair was truly the beginning of a new horizon, where students proved their worth for the future of Bangladesh through their innovative talents and technological products.  

Greeting all the students and institutions participating in this science and technology fair, Upazila Executive Officer Md. Ershadul Ahmed said, "Such events will continue to build a science-minded nation and there are plans to organize science fairs on a larger scale in the future."
