1 arrested in healy raping three-and-a-half-year-old child

Healy Correspondent: The incident took place at Guchhgram in Ghoraghat upazila on Sunday after police arrested an uncle named Lal Mia (48) for raping his three-and-a-half-year-old niece at Ghoraghat in Dinajpur. When the girl's uncle filed a case under the Women and Child Abuse Prevention Act at Ghoraghat police station at night, the police conducted an operation and arrested the uncle.

According to the complaint of the case, the child was playing in the field near the house around noon yesterday. Mama found the child alone and tried to rape her. When the child screamed, the people of the area came forward and rescued the child in a bloody condition and took him to the hospital.

The locals arrested the uncle and handed him over to the police. Ghoraghat Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Azim Uddin said the child's uncle filed a case with the police station alleging attempted rape. Police raided the house at night and arrested Mama Lal Mia. During the preliminary interrogation, the child's mama confessed to being involved in the attempted rape.

He was sent to Dinajpur court on Monday afternoon. Ghoraghat Upazila Health Complex official Dr Shah Newaz said the victim was admitted to the Upazila Health Complex at 8pm on Sunday. She was bleeding from her genitals and we sent her home with first aid. When we go home, we are always looking for the child. If the child has more problems, he will be sent out for better treatment.
