Mobile subscribers outnumber the population of the country

News Desk: The number of mobile subscribers in a country of 60 million people has exceeded 160 million. And more than 11 crore people use internet. This information has come up from the last December report of BTRC.

According to the report, at the end of December, the number of mobile phone subscribers in the country stood at 16 crore one lakh 36 thousand. Of these, 8 crore 90 lakh 36 thousand of Grameenphone, 5 crore 9 lakh 1 thousand of Robi, 3 crore 523 lakh 72 thousand of Banglalink and 49 lakh 26 thousand of Teletalk.

On the other hand, the number of internet subscribers is 11 crore 16 lakh 75 thousand. Of these, mobile internet is 10 crore 23 lakh 53 thousand, ISP and PSTN are 65 lakh 22 thousand.
