Arrested in two separate murders in RAB operation in Bogra

Bogra Correspondent: The raiding team of RAB-12 Bogra camp has arrested the accused of two sensational separate murders in Bogra. RAB-12 Bogra Company Commander (SP) Mir Monir Hossain gave this information in a press conference on Monday afternoon. This RAB official said in a press conference that Golam Rabbani, a chicken trader of Dhunot upazila of the district, was hacked to death with a sharp weapon in Langlu village of the upazila on February 5 due to a dispute over money owed.

After the incident, the deceased's father filed a case with the names of 13 people at Dhunat Police Station as the six-fold plaintiff. Md Riyad (23), accused in the case, was absconding since the incident. He is the son of Mottezar Rahman of Langlu village. Based on intelligence information, he was arrested from Narsingdi city area. During preliminary interrogation, Riyad admitted his involvement in the murder. He and several other creditors planned to kill Rabbani to get back the money owed to him by the chicken business. Efforts are on to arrest the others involved. Regarding another murder, RAB 12 Company Commander Mir Monir Hossain also said that on March 2, Azharul Islam Shanto, a college student and internet businessman, was publicly hacked to death in Chakfarid area of ​​Bogra city.

The victim's mother Rabeya Khatun filed a case at the Sadar police station. In the case, 11 people were named and some of them were made unknown accused. Md Rabbi (22), son of Shahidul Munsi of Maltinagar area, who directly participated in this murder, has been arrested. He was arrested from Char Kamalapur of Faridpur district on Sunday night. During the initial interrogation, the rabbi said Shanto was killed premeditatedly due to dominance of the area and previous fights. 6 people directly participated in the murder.

This top official of Bogra RAB said that the efforts to arrest the others involved in the incident are continuing. Company Commander Monir also said that the arrested persons have been handed over to the police station in the related case. Such operations of RAB will continue in the future.
