150 bottles of Phensidil seized from a fruit basket in Faridpur

Faridpur Correspondent: 1 inter-district drug dealer was arrested with 150 (one hundred and fifty) bottles of Fensidil from Kotwali Thana area of ​​Faridpur district by RAB-10, CPC-3, Faridpur while transporting drugs in a fruit basket.

In a press release on Sunday, RAB said that on March 9, 2024, an expeditionary team of RAB-10, CPC-3 Faridpur camp conducted an operation in Kotyali area of ​​Faridpur district based on secret information. In the said raid, 1 drug dealer was arrested along with 150 (one hundred and fifty) bottles of phensidil worth about four hundred and fifty thousand taka while carrying phensidyl hidden in a fruit basket in a passenger bus.

Company Commander of RAB-10, CPC-3, Faridpur Lt. Commander KM Shaikh Akhtar said that the arrested persons are named as Md Zahidul Islam alias Zahid (29), father Md Ali Hossain, Sang-Daulatdiar, Thana-Chuadanga Sadar, District-Chuadanga.

He also said that the preliminary investigation revealed that the arrested person is a professional drug dealer. He had been collecting narcotics including phensidyl from different border areas of the country for quite some time and supplying them to different areas of the country including Faridpur and Rajbari districts. The arrested person has been handed over to the concerned police station to file a drug case.
