Salah Uddin Ahmed, Dinajpur: A clash between two groups of BNP in a party rally in Dinajpur's Khansama upazila has disrupted the program of the centrally announced rally. Today, Saturday around 6 pm, two people were injured and a table chair was vandalized. In the end, the organizers could not hold the rally as the supporters of Dinajpur 4 Constituency (Chirirbandar-Khansama) party MP Aktaruzzaman Miah and industrialist Hafizur Rahman, who is hoping for party nomination in that constituency, clashed. The leaders of BNP's upazila committee and other organizations jointly organized a rally at Pakerhat in Khansamar at 3 pm to protest against the increase in the price of essential commodities including fuel. Today, the leaders and activists of Tunmul clashed openly as the supporters of Hafiz and Aktaruzzaman were involved in division over the authority of the party in the area. Chittaranjan Roy, in-charge of Khansama police station, said that the rally broke up due to clashes between themselves. However, the clash stopped before the police intervened. Two people were injured. No charges have been filed by any party.
