Sheikh Russell Memorial Football Final Match held at Gopalpur

Md. Noor Alam, Gopalpur (Tangail): The final match of the 7th Sheikh Russell Memorial Football Tournament was held at Ramnagar High School ground in Dhopakandi Union of Gopalpur Upazila, Tangail. In the said game, Jhawail XI vs Golabari XI of Madhupur. Madhupur Golabari XI won the tri-breaker, 3/2 goals as no goals were scored in the stipulated time. At this time, the guests gave freebies to the winners and LED TVs to the runners-up. Sheikh Russell Memorial Football Tournament organized by organizing committee (September 3) on Saturday afternoon at Ramnagar High School ground. Chota Monir, Member of Parliament of Tangail-2 Constituency was present as the chief guest, Upazila Vice Chairman Mir Rezaul Haque, Upazila Awami League Acting President Professor Abdul Momen, Dhopakandi Union Chairman Md. Sirajul Islam, former chairman of Dhopakandi Union Abdul Hai, Dhopakandi Union Awami League president Abdur Rahim, Jubo League president Ariful Islam Talukdar Arif, Mahila League president Ayesha Akhtar Shikha, other leaders of Awami League and football lovers and spectators were also present.
